This newly reformatted course is for all those who have taken Air Shows 101, either this year or in the past.  Air Shows 201 addresses some of the more complex issues in air/ground operations, changes to air regulations and air show strategies in a new lecture and hands-on workshop/exercise format.  And, in response to input from those who have taken the course in the past, the course will now include case history-type discussions on difficult air/grounds operations problems and issues.  This half-day, advanced course also focuses on the air show safety briefing, how to assess event preparation and readiness, staying within both the letter and the intent of all applicable regulations and ensuring pilot safety.  Pre-requisite: Air Shows 101

The regulatory provisions and allowances used to build and position an aerobatic box can also be complicated and difficult to manage.  In this session, you’ll learn about the most important elements of this process as well as the most common problems.  This special two-hour session will also include a hands-on workshop exercise designed to give you actual experience in developing and positioning an aerobatic box.  It has been specifically designed to complement the air/ground operations instruction provided in Air Shows 101 and Air Shows 201.
